About Division 11

Membership in Division 11 is limited to Forum members currently serving or having recently served as in-house counsel, who are not currently at firms with client development responsibilities or obligations. Our mission is to help in-house counsel become better construction industry lawyers. We do this by promoting an inclusive and welcoming membership environment that encourages new and seasoned in-house counsel to share knowledge and feedback that is unique to in-house counsel and expand their professional network. We provide a setting for discussions and presentations on topics of interest to in-house counsel. Monthly meetings provide informal learning and social opportunities to help expand our members’ professional network, while Forum in-person events provide a more formal instructional setting (including CLE credits) and a chance to network in-person.

D11 members work for owners, construction managers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, design firms, lenders, sureties, educational institutions, administrative bodies, transportation agencies, and government entities, and their focus areas include corporate, litigation, dispute resolution, contract drafting and interpretation, claims, insurance, liens, labor/employment, compliance, project finance, energy, environmental law, and international law.

MONTHLY CALLS:

Our Monthly Calls are held on the third Thursday of the month at 12:00 noon Eastern.

Note: To facilitate open discussion, most calls are restricted to D11 members; however, our joint presentations, hot topics, and networking events with other Divisions are often open to all Forum members.
